How to Apply for a Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme

• Step 1:Visit the 7nishchay Bihar website.
• Step 2:Click the ‘New Applicant Registration’ button.
• Step 3: Fill out the details, such as name, email ID, mobile number, Aadhaar number, and OTP and click the ‘Submit’ button.
• Step 4: Visit the 7nishchay Bihar website. and log in using the username and password.
• Step 5: Fill out the details on the ‘Personal Information Page’ and click the ‘Submit’ button.
• Step 6: Selects the ‘BSCC’ option from the drop-down list and click the ‘Apply’ button.
• Step 7: Fill in the details on the BSCC form and submit it.
• Step 8: Selects the ‘BSCC’ option from the drop-down list and click the ‘Apply’ button.
• Step 9: Fill in the details on the BSCC form and submit it.
• Step 10:A confirmation message and the acknowledgement number will be displayed.
• Step 11:The respective District Registration and Counseling Center (DRCC) will schedule an appointment and send an email and SMS informing the applicant about the date of the visit to the DRCC
• Step 12:The applicant should visit the DRCC with self-attested documents and submit them to the Multi-Purpose Assistant (MPA) for verification
• Step 13:After verification by the concerned authorities and loan sanction by the bank, the DRCC will send an SMS and email to the applicant informing the date the applicant should visit the DRCC to collect the ‘Student Credit Card’ and sanction letter of the loan.
• Step 14:The applicant should visit the bank to complete the documentation formalities after collecting the ‘Student Credit Card’ and the bank’s sanction letter from the DRCC.
• Step 15:The applicant will get the loan disbursement from the bank, and bank officials will inform the same to the DRCC.

Features and Benefits of Bihar Student Credit Card

• The maximum loan you can avail of under this scheme is ₹4 Lakhs
• The moratorium of the loan repayment will be available to students for a year after completing their course or 6 months after the commencement of their job
• Simple interest of 4% will be applicable on the amount of the loan
• For girls, transgender people, and students with disabilities, a preferential interest rate of 1% is applicable
• Monetary assistance is available on these credit cards if you want to pay fees, buy books, purchase laptops, etc
• The funds will be directly transferred to the educational institutions through the medium of RTGS/ NEFT transfer
• In case a student lives outside the hostel provided by the educational institution, a fixed amount will be provided to the student based on Annexures 1 and 2
• This loan facility is available for students pursuing technical, polytechnic, as well as general courses
